Day 1 Hanoi
Vietnam's gracious capital. Marvel at the charming Old Quarter, tour Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum or just watch the endless flow of motorbikes from a cafe patio as they zigzag through the capital's maze of streets.

Days 2-3 Halong Bay junk overnight, Cat Ba Island
Thousands of islands rise dramatically from the waters of Halong Bay, the limestone karst formations are hollowed by intricate caves. Explore some huge mountain caves and spend the night gazing at the stars from the deck of an exquisite cruiser! Take a dip in the sea and head towards the secluded Cat Ba Island.

Days 4-5 Hai Phong
An important industrial and commercial center, Hai Phong is a beautiful city with much of the central colonial quarter still preserved. Many streets are bordered by flame flower trees, giving the city its other name "city of flame flowers". Hai Phong is also a good base for exploring other areas such as Do son Beach

Days 6-8 Sapa, hilltribe trekking & homestay
Head off along the narrow mountain trails, along the way we'll see the H'mong farmers tending the fields, lots of waving kids and plenty of buffaloes. The scenery is spectacular, with steep rice terraces and lush, verdant hills. Our hosts this evening will treat us to a fine meal and stories of life. Watch out for their home-brewed rice wine!

Days 9-10 Hue
The pace of life is slow in the former imperial capital. Explore the tombs of the Nguyen emperors, visit the lively Dong Ba Market, check out the fascinating Citadel and sample Hue's culinary specialities. Don't miss a dragon boat cruise along the Perfume River.

Days 11-12 Hoi An
Hug the coastline of the South China Sea before winding our way up the spectacular Hai Van Pass as we drive to Hoi An, much of the town looks exactly as it did a century ago. Walk around to visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, fish markets and traditional wooden buildings.

Days 13-15 Nha Trang & Whale Island
laze on pristine beaches or go snorkelling amid lovely coral gardens of the blissful Whale Island, enjoy deep blue water and scrumptious seafood or relax at the beach bar to watch the sun go down with a cocktail in hand !

Day 16 Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh City)
Prepare for sensory overload as you roam the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City by cyclo, stroll through the colourful Ben Thanh Market, the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace and Cholon (Chinatown)

Days 17-18 Mekong Delta Homestay and Cu Chi Tunnels
Delve into the former stronghold of the Viet Cong guerillas at the Cu Chi Tunnels before cruising down the Mekong Delta, a rich green river world of orchards, rice fields, floating markets and small cottage industries. Be the guests of a local family is a great opportunity to learn about life in the region.

Day 19 Sai Gon
The city's network of markets and shops are tempting to explore, as are the colourful temples, central boulevards and French colonial buildings. Chance for last minute shopping or escape the heat at the Saigon Water Park.
