Ha Giang

Ha Giang is a land with the natural majestic landscapes, the sharpness of long-standing living tradition of the hill tribe people that many tourists have not known. About 350km to the north of Ha Noi, Ha Giang town is located in a valley four mountains be surrounded mountains and the Lo river bending in its flow.

About 40 km up north is Quan Ba district, a mountainous region with cool climate year-round. Continue the journey, visitors can stop at La Sung valley, where the beauty here is difficult to be matched, the valley offers a magic appearance of rocky mountain and green forests..

In Dong Van, visitors are immersed in the mountains and the colours of hill tribes in every step. Dong Van district lies at the height 1100m, of which there is Lung Cu peak at the height 1600m to 1800m compared to sea level, this is an extreme north, is the rooftops of Vietnam. Away from Dong Van 12km, under a small beautiful valley beautiful, low-ventilated under the Green samu trees is of mansion of Wang Chi Sinh (are regarded as the Mong King who dispense the entire plateau area Dong Van - Meo Vac). Coming to Ha Giang, everybody wants to visit Khau Vai love market, only for those who fail their love to come and see their old lovers. They come together and then again return to the family when sunset falls.

To Ha Giang, tourists get to enjoy the beauty of step rice field in Hoang Su Phi. At the ripe rice season, yellow rice can bee seen to the horizon. To a small path going up, visitors will see the ancient tea trees with hundreds of years old of ethnic Dzao people.

Dong Van Rock Plateau

Dong Van, a land of harsh life but bears the magic beauty has long been a famous spot for photo hunters because of miraculous beauty as sunset falls on stone rocks of cat-ears.

Dong Van district is a high-border region of Ha Giang. 1,000 m above the sea surface, terrain is composed of mostly mountain rocks. The district is only 146 km from Ha Giang town but transportation is very difficult. In winter temperatures sometime drop to 1oC and in summer hottest time is just around 24oC, it is foggy throughout the year

Dong Van has the extreme point of North Vietnam in Lung Cu. It is said that if not on Lung Cu, it has not yet considered to be in Dong Van, Lung Cu is reckon as the "rooftops of Viet Nam" where one turn their face down to touch earth and turn up to touch heaven".

Dong Van famous for its delicious fruit: peach, plum, pear, apples.. Dong Van is also famous for its scenery such as mountains, caves, the forests colorful flowers... This place is created for artists a source of inspiration to make works of art, photographers do not have a two in the world of nature: forests, mountains, fields stairs ... unique photos which cannot be found anywhere in the world about nature, mountains, forests, rice terraces...

Reaching Dong Van is an opportunity to test your courage with heavenly high passes and deep abyss, sometime one has to walk. But in exchange, you are immersed with the majestic nature, living alongside people still poor but full of joy and happiness in life.

Khau Vai Love Market

From central highlands district of Meo Vac (Ha Giang), turn your face up and the road to Khau Vai looks like a rope over the mountain sides. This hill town is 155 km of bumpy mountain road from Ha Giang, bending like a silver snake along immense black ranges of car-ear rocks.

24 km from Meo Vac, vehicles are seen in distance skirting along steep cliffs, over the foggy peak of Lung Pu, down to the slippery dirt road of Khau Vai. The market is perched on top of a bow-shaped hill, deep into a foggy valey of simple wooded houses side by side

Khau Vai love market is opened only once a year, from late evening of lunar March 26 until late morning of the next day. Although called a market, there is no trading activity, it is a place where lovers of all ages come to see their old partners who could not wed together

The market opens at night, husbands and wives come to market together however they look for their own partners, women from Giay ethnic minority, men from Hmong community can walk for 3, 4 days to the market, waiting silently for their partners...

Lung Cu Peak - Heaven Gate

Lung Cu (Ha Giang), the top piece of land located north of the country extreme, is a land of the Shan tea, honey wine and "Thang Co", the definition of traditional cultural identity in the ethnic Mong, Lo Lo, Giay. It was also the land of Peach, plum, white snow in the spring and bustling markets in the session. 

Lung Cu commune includes nine villages, copies, all at an average elevation of 1600-1800 meters above the sea. In winter weather is very cold and even snow fall. To the left is the Then Van, expand approximately 50 hectares, on the right is the watershed Nho Que River, originating from Mu Cang - Van Nam - China poured on Dong Van, Meo Vac, mountains after mountains creates one of the most magnificent landscapes in Vietnam

Ethnic people in Lung Cu work mostly by cultivation on rice terraces. Especially peoples of Mong, Lo Lo still conserve the traditional weaving industry, with the stages as the linen fibers, textile fabrics. The national flag tower on top of the dragon mountain dragon looks remotely like a tower, similar to the one in Ha Noi, nearly 20 meters high.

Springtime, tourists on Ha Giang, overcome 500 km from Hanoi by the National Highway No. 2 and national highway 4C, through rocky plateau Dong Van takes two days, tourists can reach Lung Cu. Tourists will enjoy the fresh air, listen to "Dan moi" calling friends, the sound of drum beat over a fire with corn wine...

Lung Phin Market

Lung Phin market is 15 km from Meo Vac, Ha Giang, this is one of the most typical hill tribe markets is Vietnam where tens of thousans of people from Hmong, Dzao and Chinese flock to every week. Located in a deep mountain valley, the market is held every six days on lunar calendar (days of the Monkey and the Tiger), throngs of people with cows, pics and dogs can be seen on their way to market. Here, various hilltribes from highland villages converge every week to trade. Local products for sale or barter are carried on horseback, buffaloes such as blacksmiths, saddlers, traditional medicines, clothing, food. At the market, a lot of people can be seen eating "Thang Co", a popular dish of the Hmong people. The market is really a must-see for all tourist to Ha Giang.

BAC ME

Bac Me is about 50 km from Ha Giang town. The road leads to Bac Me is fairly small, sloping and rugged. In winter, things appear hoe gold leaf forests, flowers blossom brilliantly. Bac Me is not a district renowned for tourism in Ha Giang, where there is no field stairs as Hoang Su Phi, without the vibrant market sessions colorful markets such as Sa Phin ... or landscape of sheer rocky mountains like Dong Van, Meo Vac, but always attract visitors by vast space and strangely charming beauty... 

From the slopes to the district capital of Bac Me, look to their right hand is a hidden lake in the creek, deep green water, forests are also deep green, mountains stand up and are covered by the white clouds. On the water surface as flat mirrors, a slim stroke of smoke followed by the sounds of fish moving.

It is difficult to tell whether it was build by human or nature, for this is part of the watershed lake Na Hang hydropower. Since hydroelectric dam on Na Hang, Tuyen Quang under close (a few months ago), the water from Gam River gradually rose and created the unique landscape of mountains and water .On the road to the district center, through the old town of Bac Me, one feels as if being floated in the dream of a virtual look from moment to moment. Water, mountains, ancient trees and dew passive smoke. The people Bac Me also predicts that, if lucky, one can also see all the deer running down drinking water in the other foot of the mountain lake.

Another site of interest is Bac Me prison, located right on a mountain road, Bac Me prison is knows as a political jail in the French colonial rule, there are now only a few relics left such as stone pillars, walls and courtyard. The prison is the only historical site left in the area.

Coming to Bac Me, tourist cannot miss the opportunity to watch the beautiful sight of virtual and here and enjoy the famous food from fish and a few other things.
